On this day in 1969, Air France performed the company's last commercial flight of a Douglas DC-3, which it has been operating since the end of the war. This was a postal flight between Pau and Paris. The DC-3 was then replaced by the Fokker F27 turboprop. On the same day, six years later, the last C-47 in service in the US Air Force made its last flight to the Dayton Museum, OH
