On this day in 1979, the last A-4 Skyhawk comes out of McDonnell Douglas's production line, delivered to the US Marines Corps. 2690 Skyhawk have been produced. This one is painted with the flags of the nations having operated the 'Scooter' : Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Indonesia, Israel, Kuwait, Malaysia, New Zealand, the United States and Singapore. Some are still operated to date by private operators serving as 'Aggressors' for armed forces training.
