On this day in 1929, Lady Bailey, 38 years old, lands back in London after her round trip to Cape Town, South Africa. With two De Havilland DH.60X Moth powered by a 65 HP engine, she had traveled 18.000 miles / 29.000 km solo, and was awarded for that the Britannia trophy of the Royal Aero Club.
